The fairytale village in Netherlands

Poetic and peaceful scenery as the fairy, a village that does not exist dust of  vehicles and concept "road". That is what people talk about Giethoorn - the old village. The village in the province Overijssel Giethoorn , from the  Amsterdam capital Netherlands 120 km, was built around 1230.


The first inhabitants of the village found peat deposits. They dig holes in the coal mine for many years. The coal pit had become lakes. Due to the relatively low land, barren land and marshes full of reeds  become the main vegetation in here.


Surrounding the village are the canals with length 7.5 km. You never hear the engine or hooter loudly. The village does not street and have to row to come house' neighbors. So here over 700 years not fix the road, not to buy a car. Instead, about 176 small wooden bridge crossing  narrow canal, but the blue, dreaming.


Giethoorn is a very peaceful and fresh village. The loudest sound you can hear is the quack-quack.Most of the houses in Giethoorn are roof makes the house more graceful.


The space is very romantic and peaceful, dubbed "Venice of the Netherlands". The village has become a famous tourist attraction. Coming here, in addition to moving a small boat, you can walk around the village. Travelers to visit will certainly have experiences like entering a world of fairytales.
