The celebrated blue city in India


Thar Desert  is India's largest desert and is considered the driest region in the northwest of the subcontinent. It is known to be the drought, not rain with large sand dunes stretching. Nestled among the arid Thar Desert, Jodhpur is known as the "blue city" by impressive architecture and unique colors .

Jodphur city of India has a unique characteristic, which is  all activities are taking place on a common platform, it was a beautiful blue background - a renowned color of Jodphur from many centuries ago.
Jodhpur was built in 1158, with the buildings get extremely intricate carvings. It is famous with its castles, tombs and the oldest museum as Mehrangarth fortress, Khejalar, palace Umaid Bahwan ...

"Why is this city blue?" is the question not only to tourists but also the locals  . Many people believe that, the blue of the original house used to represent the class in Indian society.
Legend said that ithe wealthy class painted blue to represent their class and distinction to those with low class in social . Blue color which is devoted to painting home of the "Brahim", people of high rank in the hierarchy of Hindu devotees. , "Brahim" is clerics, scholars, religious leaders ... Those houses, thieves often do not dare to sneak in for fear of guilty before the holy beings. 

Then, other families began to follow and more blue houses springing up in Jodhpur. Blue color gradually become common features of the city and no longer meaningful religions anymore.
Today, when asked why the house is blue, the locals often explained that, first, blue cool eyes, it relieve the intense heat in Jodhpur. Second,  blue paint contains high levels of copper sulfate can resist termites and insects effectively.
Jodhpur attracted photographers since it contains an ancient mixed modern beauty creates opposition in the photos.
In addition to the name "Green City", Jodhpur is also known as the "city of the sun" by the blazing sun, harsh of vast desert region has always surrounded this place.
Coming to the blue city Jodpur, visitors not only be immersed in the unique beauty of the architecture, but also see firsthand the sophisticated craft goods  of the locals
