Dog meat
Ranked first in the list of Vietnam dishes  few foreigners dare to try it was dog meat. If for many Vietnamese, especially the men , dog meat is always indispensable dish on  booze or the parties.
But for a foreigner, eating a dog is something very barbarian ,  dogs are the closest animal to humans. Even, some people consider this animal is a member of the family, so the killing or eating dogs is something unacceptable. In India it is thought that just seeing dogs being killed or see dog meat would bring guilt for that person.
Balut
Balut of Vietnam is listed horror dishes not only in Vietnam but also in the world. While this is considered a favorite dish and is an integral part of the culinary culture of Vietnam, for foreign visitors, they feel afraid and guilty when eating ducks "newborn" unborn.
A foreigner after eating duck eggs to share that "feeling when peeling a duck egg that then shape a young duck was cooked in my eyes ..., indeed, I could not eat pot". Not only in Vietnam, duck eggs are also common in some Asian countries such as Cambodia, the Philippines ..
Blood pudding
Perhaps when it comes to  blood pudding ,surely all of us not feel strange  something because this is a dish too familiar with Vietnam. However, for foreign tourists, this is the most frightening dishes that they think only of the horror film. However, because this dish many potential security threats on a number of dangerous diseases such as H5N1 influenza or cholera, many people were reluctant to say "goodbye" to this favorite dish.
Thang co
The next item in the list of best horror dishes Vietnam which is Thang Co of ethnic Hmong. Not only for foreigners, many Vietnamese, especially Kinh also become "fed up" with this special dish.
It  made from cow, buffalo or horses organs. After  surgery abdominal horse (or cattle, goats ...), people will retrieve all the organs of the animal section, dissection when still warm,retrieve all the organs of the animal , cut out when still warm, but not through a primary processing stages or washing filter . All mixes will be put into a large pan and fried. Then they would pour water into the pan and so on for some hours .
Traditional spices include salt, cardamom, place filled roast, small canopy, bring marinade into the meat before stir-fry. When cooked dishes, the spices complement each other making something special flavor and charm.

 Rat meat
Currently, mouse meat was no stranger to the cuisine of Vietnam and some countries in the world.  rat meat is able to eat as voles, even shrews.
 However many countries argue that the mouse is a scary rodent  and they will not dare to eat dishes made from mice.

 Shrimp sauce
Shrimp sauce is made  from mainly shrimp and salt, through fermentation create special flavor. Fermentation must use 1 enzyme in the gut shrimp. For Vietnam shrimp sauce is an indispensable in many dishes such as shrimp sauce bean vermicelli, bun thang ,dog meat...
Insects dishes
For foreigners insects as pupa , crickets, bugs, grasshoppers ... became terror which just saw was enough to shudder. However, for Vietnam, it became specialties in many restaurants and hotels.
These insects are people caught out in the field, or even grown in large farms and then sold to restaurants or pubs for processing into many different dishes in which the most popular is  the fried or baked. However, a number of foreigners has become wary when enjoying this dish.

Wine Soaked
Wine soaked (also known as "medicinal liquor") using herbs or animals soaked in white wine with high alcohol . It was used as a medicine and very popular in the culinary culture of Vietnam. But overseas, they feel very strange and frightening, because the wines are very popular pickled and varied, but the main ingredients are from the live animals, and  just preliminarily processed, not cooked.

It seems to them,Vietnamese can soak  anything: from  tiger bone,  horse,  turtle shells, snake, seahorse, scorpion or those  viseras such as snake, bile bear , the  monkey brain, goat penis ...


Cha Ruoi
Ruoi is a  tasty and hot dishes in Vietnam. But the reason it is listed as the best horror food world and by the shape of half a worm,  half of the centipede.
But one thing recognized that, if not see the material ,this is a very tasty dish! Ruoi have on September and early October lunar calendar. Ruoi mix minced  meat, tangerine peel, egg, fried onion blossom has become a well-known specialties from Hanoi.
