Previously, the garden is also planted herbs, but has been removed by poisonous tree. The aim is for people can be able to observe, recognize and avoid poisonous plants can be harmful to health. When visiting, guests are given a detail document about the trees and their harmful effects.

Alnwick Garden welcomes intrepid visitors to more than 100  of the world's most dangerous plants. Be Called poison but Alnwick gardens have attractive looks with  lush tree be  trimmed preciously . Alnwick Castle, used to be the darkest point to the north of England. But due to looks was macabre Ancient  and horror that this place into an ideal location for the filming of Harry Potter blockbusters. Previously, Alnwick gardens next to castle was abandoned and noone care, until Jane Percy became the Duchess of Northumberland in 1995. She wanted to turn  area into a garden, but instead of planting common tree  in the English countryside, she decided to sow into that fear, passion and something deadly.


Jane Percy said that "If you want to create something special, a place for tourists to come and can not forget it ,it certainly must be unique". The idea occurred to Percy during a trip to Italy. Here she had the opportunity to visit the famous gardens of poison Medici family in Padua, where she was introduced to the most dangerous species of flora, they kill people instead of healing. "It is interesting that how can a tree kill you , how you die and how feeling before death will be.," said the Duchess.

From that idea, poison garden opened in 2004 and attracts about 800,000 visitors each year. Visitors can come to observe poisonous plants, but not be allowed to stand too close, explore the history and legends about them. To take care of this plant, gardeners should wear gloves and be careful when caring.

The particularly dangerous  trees will be preventing by iron fence outside and guarded by day and night . In which so many  trees just a small seed is enough to kill a person. When visiting, guests will be accompanied by a detail documentation about the species and their impacts, help visitors identify and prevent these poisonous plants  in the nature.

In addition, the garden is also licensed to grow cannabis, cocaine, magic mushrooms, opium and tobacco. "The aim of the garden is to provide meaningful education for the kids. Come here, we'll be hearing about the horror stories of pain and death, and has warned about the harmful effects occur when using drugs ", The Duchess said.
